On the last day of term 1, CPS commemorated ANZAC Day with its annual ANZAC Ceremony. While this year’s restrictions meant that it was a student and staff only event, it did not detract from the quality of and meaning of reflection demonstrated by all who attended.
Thank you to the students who played a major role in preparing and running the event. Ethan and Jack, our school councillors led the way with clear and well-versed hosting, while Mr Howesmith’s Senior Voice Choir did tremendously well in their performances, even without the Maestro being there in person. Thank you also to Jun and Skla of the STEAM team who helped prepare and film the event for our live WebEx broadcast seamlessly and thank you to our presenters who shared speeches on this year’s theme of ANZAC symbols, they were extremely informative and moving.
Finally, thank you to all parents who donated flowers or greenery for our ANZAC day wreaths, and of course, to our wonderful P&C who organised the creating and distributing of the wreaths on the day.

Deputy Principal
This year we will be commemorating ANZAC Day with our student-only ceremony next Friday at 2pm. While due to COVID-19 restrictions parents will not be attending, we welcome our community to join us through a live WebEx stream.
The wonderful P & C has been working behind the scenes to find a way of organising the wreaths, so we will be asking for floral donations to be dropped off at the school on the morning of the ceremony, 8th of April. Please look out for further information from your classroom representative.
The link to the ceremony will be published on Friday, as well as the ceremony program.
