The 2023 Environmental officers received their badges on Friday at the assembly. There are 41 officers this year and their main role is to maintain the Echo Shed and assist with keeping our school clean. They work every Thursday with members of the Rotary Club of Cambridge to prepare the garden beds for planting in the cooler weather.
Thank you to the 30 families that attended the busy bee. We achieved a great deal under very hot conditions. Thank you to Jemma Taylor for her tireless contribution to the chicken roster and commitment to the sustainability program.
On Monday we conducted a waste audit at school with the assistance of Mr O’Mara’s year 6 class. The purpose of an audit is to analyse what our school sends to landfill each week and it assists us to set targets and strategies to reduce our imprint on the planet. The results will be put into the newsletter as soon as we receive them.
