Last week in the Library the Years 1-6 students had an exciting visit from WA author and illustrator Gabriel Evans! Gabriel took the students through one hour workshops exploring the process of writing a story and illustrating. The students came up with some amazing ideas and I am sure Gabriel was very impressed with some of the imaginative and creative students we have here at CPS!
Gabriel’s book ‘Norton and the Bear’ has been shortlisted for Children’s Book Week this year which is an amazing achievement. It’s a fun story about imitation and all the students have enjoyed it.
Gabriel was very engaging, funny and shared a lot of knowledge about the writing and drawing process to the students.
