This term, students from Years 3 to 6 have been working hard on their coding skills in preparation for this year’s CPS Robo Showdown.
This year, 5 teams made it to competition day – and the level of teamwork and technology skills on display was impressive. The dedication all teams showed throughout the term was a credit to all and at the end of the day, the competition results were very close.
For the event, students needed to code their Dash robot through a maze, hitting as few obstacles as possible. If they made it through the maze – their robot needed to show off with a victory dance!
While all teams were pretty equal – there could only be one winning team. Congratulations to team Fifi for taking it out this year. Their robot was the only one to exit the maze and perform the victory dance! Well done girls.
The year 5 and 6s are still training and are looking forward to their competition early next term. They are also competing to represent the school at the 2020 Robo Cup Jr at Curtin University in November. We will keep you posted on how it goes.
