All new parents to the school, and Year One families are invited to our annual iPad Information session for parents new to the CPS BYOD iPad Program, which is happening in the library at 6.30 pm, Wednesday, November 29.
The session will include a “Parents Crash Course in using the Screentime application” evening workshop.
“Screen Time — lets you know how much time you and your kids spend on apps, websites, and more. This way, you can make more informed decisions about how you use your devices, and set limits if you’d like to.” – Apple.com
Please join Holden Lai (School board member and parent) and Luke Johnson (teacher and Deputy Principal) in a ‘Crash Course in using the Screentime app’. The course will run through the basics of the app and how it can assist managing family iPad usage at home.
Please note that the Screentime app comes as part of the native suite but is only available on devices with iOS 12 and above. To use the app to its full capacity, ‘Family Sharing’ is required which will also be covered throughout the session. To get the most out of the session, it is advised to bring your family ipad(s) to setup throughout the session.
If you are interested in attending, please complete the registration below.
During the session, we will run through the rationale and procedures of the program, as well as gain some helpful tips for using the Screentime app to manage the iPad’s use at home.
Hope to see you there!
Luke Johnson
Deputy Principal
