St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School invited Churchlands Primary School to participate in their Annual Girls STEAMing Ahead Challenge day. The specific focus was on: Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Maths. The purpose of the competition was to give highly able girls the opportunity to solve challenging problems in collaboration with like-minded peers. We had 16 girls from years 3 – 6 participate in the challenge. It was great to see them all actively engage in their challenge and work collaboratively as a team.
As a result our year 3 / 4 team won the overall challenge!
A huge congratulations to all the Steam Queen girls: Charlie S, Tingyao W, Zoe G, Jessica S, Lulu B, Gabriela, Mikaela B, Alicia J, Isabel A, Zaira W, Keisha Y, Izzy H, Caitlin H, Jordan B, Emily T, Savannah D.
This could not be achieved if we didn’t have such amazing staff. A very big thank you to Ms Hannah Barnett for all the organising and Mrs Sara Morgan and Mr Luke Johnson for all their support; great team effort!
