CPS Frog Pond Projects - Pre-Primary
Frog Habitat Design & Fictional Narrative
As part of the Biological Science and Design Technology curriculums, the Pre-Primary children had to use their knowledge of what a frog needs to survive and the life cycle of a frog in order to think about what needed to be included in their designs.
They worked in pairs and followed the Design process to imagine, plan and create a habitat that has everything a frog needs. They used their oral language skills to voice their ideas and opinions with their partner and use their cooperative learning skills to organise and designate roles.
Students also needed to reflect on their designs and decide whether they needed to make changes to improve their solutions. As you can see there is a lot to be gained from working together!
