Book week kicked off with a bang, with the dress up parade first thing on Monday morning. It was wonderful to see the many students and staff that participated and shared their favourite characters and books. Hats off to the many creative and impressive costumes that were worn proudly and to all those that joined in on the fun.
During this term students have been working hard across the school, studying the Children’s Book Council Australia Shortlist books. They have produced incredible pieces of work and have created beautiful pieces of art that are on display in numerous places around the school.
Our visiting author illustrators, Peter Cheong and Kelly Canby were immensely popular among students and teachers. Sharing their own inspirational life stories on their journeys to become published authors and illustrators. They also facilitated some fun writing and drawing activities that all the students enjoyed.
