We are so excited to announce that the library has some new books for the BILINGUAL BOOK COLLECTION! These picture books are written in English as well as another language. There are stories in German, Korean, Farsi, Cantonese, Mandarin, Malayalam, Hindi, Urdu, Somali, Punjabi, Gujarati and Dari. The bilingual books will be available soon for all students to read and enjoy with their families. Keep an eye on the new book display for when they are ready for borrowing. Reading and speaking in both English and your home language is valued. Parents, it is important for your child to keep building on vocabulary and comprehension skills in your home language, so keep asking questions and discussing stories and pictures with your children. Start looking carefully at the characters in the books you are reading. You might find an idea for the Book Week dress up day on Monday 21st August!
