CPS Frog Pond Projects - Year 3

Classified Animals of Herdsman Lake

Our Year 3 students undertook an exploration and classification of the wildlife found at Herdsman Lake as part of their contribution to the CPS Frog Pond Project and their Biological Science and Design Technology learning.

While the CPS Frog Project aims to be home to some of our local amphibian species, the Year 3 students recognised that it requires a wide range of living and non-living elements to support a flourishing wetland environment.

Throughout their investigation, they discovered a very diverse variety of species and applied critical and creative, and analytical thinking to categorise them.

As part of the Design process, the students presented their learning as highly entertaining and informative documentary movies.
