We have had a wonderful time in the library celebrating Harmony Week and reading lots of fun stories in preparation for the Easter break.
This term, students and staff alike have all been enjoying watching the live stream from the International Space Station as it orbits the Earth. It is fascinating! It is available to watch online through many different websites, check it out over the holidays if you get a chance.
To celebrate the Year of the Dragon, the library has welcomed Churchland PS’s own dragon! Our dragon has been lovingly pieced together by Mrs Cockerill and the students. It consists of hundreds of paper plates, that have been individually decorated by each student, to form this magical piece of collective art. Pop by and say hello if you get a chance!
The students have also been enjoying our new furniture. Not only is it a beautiful and vibrant addition to the library, it is also a space that we are using to read and relax. It has been heartwarming to see it used as a place for people to come together to sit and chat, so we are now referring to it as our yarning circle.
