Interschool Tennis – Year 3 & 4 – Friday 1 November
Congratulations to the 32 students from Years 3 and 4 who competed in the Interschool Tennis Competition at Wembley Downs Tennis Club on Friday, 1 November. The weather was perfect, and each student gave their all, pushing themselves and showcasing their skills. A big thank you to the parents who helped and supported us throughout the day and to all the students for their fantastic effort and sportsmanship.
Churchlands Students Doing Amazing Things
Congratulations to all the students who competed in the SSWA Cross Country on Friday, 25 October. The event was packed with exceptional athletes, and each of you shone in your events, representing Churchlands with pride and excellence. You should all be incredibly proud of your achievements.
A special mention to Zara R of year 3 who in the evening also competed at the Sporting Schools Interschool Champions Championship for athletics. Zara competed in the year 4 400m race and placed 3rd, while also winning the year 3 1500m. What a superstar.
Running Club
For new families to Churchlands PS, running club is where students run laps around the oval earning points for their faction. Exercising in the mornings has many health benefits and is a great way to start the day.
Some benefits include:
- improved physical and mental energy,
- a better night’s sleep,
- reach your fitness goals,
- enhance your metabolism.
This is a reminder that mugs for Milo must be placed on the table outside the undercover area before 8.25 am. Milo is an acknowledgement of the effort put in during running club.
It is encouraged that students need to run at least 5 laps to get a Milo. Turning up late won’t allow enough time to get 5 laps done.
