Congratulations to all the members of both String Orchestra and Hotnotes Orchestra for their performances last weekend at the Junior Orchestra Festival.
String Orchestra, under the direction of Andrea Carter was awarded the highest grade of Outstanding in their C division performance. Hotnotes, although not in a division due to the Novice Full Orchestra status, being the only orchestra of its type appearing on the weekend, was graded Excellent and received many positive remarks from the adjudicators. In week 10 the Australian Girls Choir are holding an introductory workshop on Wednesday Lunchtime in the music room. It is for those girls registered either through the online registration process or having handed a note in to Mr Howesmith. If you are interested, see Mr H as it is not too late.

Churchlands PS has been selected to host a special set of free concerts for Musica Viva in term 4.
The concerts are preparation for a local Perth jazz ensemble (The Velvet Players featuring Adam Hall) who are putting together a Musica Viva concert for 2025.
