June has been a dramatic month! Year 1-6 were treated to a delightful play, Djinda Kaatijin, presented by Yirra Yaakin. We followed the adventures of Dwert, Wardong and Weitj as they tried to save the stars from disappearing.
This very multicultural story took us to Scotland, India and Spain as well as Broome, to find the missing sisters. The Seven Sisters constellation was missing some of its stars. You will be relieved to know they were all found! Technology was also at the heart of the story, revealing the great benefits of using mobile phones and tablets and the pitfalls of overuse. The audience were alerted to the fact that we need to look UP from our devices and look at the stars, and of course each other!
